MEETING SET TO EXAMINE TENNESSEE NOMINATIONS
TO NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC INVITED TO ATTEND NASHVILLE MEETING ON JANUARY 25, 2006

Nashville, Tenn. - The State Review Board will meet on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, to examine Tennessee's newest proposed nominations to the National Register of Historic Places.

The meeting will be held at the Nashville Public Library at 615 Church Street. It will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The Board will vote on eight nominations from across the state. Those nominations that are found to meet the criteria will be sent for final approval to the National Register of Historic Places in the Department of the Interior.

All property names are listed by the Historic Name. The nominations are:

Anderson County: Cross Mountain Miners' Circle Cemetery

Hawkins County: Moore Family Farm, St. Marks Presbyterian Church

Giles County: Bodenham (Colored) School, Bridgeforth High School, Original Church of God

Lewis County: Lewis County Courthouse

Williamson County: Harlinsdale Farm

The State Review Board is composed of 13 people with backgrounds in American history, architecture, archaeology or related fields. It also includes members representing the public. The National Register program was authorized under the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
