What is a TP3 Success Story?

A TP3 Success Story is written documentation of a successful pollution prevention project.  The Success Story will include a description of the TP3 member, the environmental challenge addressed, how the project was implemented, and the measured amount of pollution prevented or eliminated.

Why a Success Story?

Success Stories have multiple benefits.  Primarily, Success Stories are required for a TP3 member to advance through certain TP3 levels.  One Success Story is needed to advance to the Partner level, and five Success Stories are required to advance to the Performer level.  Success Stories are also effective in passing your pollution prevention ideas to other TP3 members.  Furthermore, publicizing your environmental accomplishments has public relations benefits and shows your pollution prevention leadership in the state.

Success Story Topic Areas

Success Stories come from successfully implementing a pollution prevention project in one of the five media areas:

• Clean Air

• Energy Conservation

• Hazardous Materials Management

• Land and Water Conservation

• Waste Reduction

Success Stories may also document a member’s community outreach and mentoring activities. Click here to view a listing of TP3 members and their success stories.
