From the East, take I-40 West to I-240 West to I-55 North, Exit 9 (Mallory Ave.) Go approximately 200 ft. east on Mallory, turn right at the big green Rivergate sign. Follow the brown signs into the park. For a map and specific driving directions, visit MapQuest.com.

T.O. Fuller State Park

The park is located in Shelby County within the southern limits of the city of Memphis. The park encompasses a total of 1,138 acres with a diversity of wildlife. With its abundance of local flora and fauna from the Mississippi flood plains to its high and overshadowing bluff ridges makes this area an ideal place for the birdwatcher or outdoor extremist.
Historical SignificanceA Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp established in the area initiated Construction of the park facilities in 1938. During excavation for a proposed swimming pool in 1940, CCC workers unearthed evidence of a prehistoric village, opening the door to a lost and forgotten civilization. The site has sense been developed as Chucalissa Indian Village and includes a village, preserved archeological excavations, and a modern museum.

LodgingT.O. Fuller State Park offers forty-five campsites that are RV accessible with some sites accommodating up to 85 feet of RV space. Tent campers are also welcome. The campground has a picnic shelter, playground and bathhouse and laundry. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, lantern hanger, fire ring, grill, electrical and water hook-ups. There is a centralized dumping station near the entrance of the campground.
