Home > Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Board Board Characteristics: Nine members: eight appointed by the Governor for four-year terms and one ex officio. Composed of the Commissioner of Environment and Conservation or his designee; one person employed by a private business concern with experience in management of petroleum nominated by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry; one person employed by a private petroleum concern with experience in management of petroleum nominated by the Tennessee Petroleum Council; one person employed by a private petroleum concern with experience in management of petroleum nominated by the Tennessee Oil Marketers Association; one person employed by a private petroleum concern with experience in management of petroleum nominated by the Tennessee Retail Gasoline Dealers Association; one person who is a representative of environmental interests knowledgeable of management of petroleum products and/or hazardous substances nominated by the Tennessee Environmental Council; one person nominated by the Tennessee Municipal League; and two citizens who are consumers of petroleum products and who are not affiliated with the above organizations.
