Tennessee’s TMDL Program is a part of Water Pollution Control’s Watershed Management Section. The development of TMDLs follows the schedule established as part of the 1998 agreement between EPA and TDEC, which is based upon the 1998 303(d) List:

  • Prioritize Water Quality-Limited Waters
  • Develop the TMDL Plan
  • Implement Water Quality Improvement Actions
  • Assess Water Quality Improvement Actions
